Jorge Antonio Guerrero Martínez is a Mexican actor who began his career by
exploring with poetry out loud in public spaces, this, would later involve him
in the scenic atmosphere. In addition, his practice in martial arts has played
an important piece in his performing art. Guerrero is known for its
performance in "Roma"(2018) directed by Alfonso Cuarón and "Luis Miguel
the serie" as the Cadete Tello(2017-2018). He was nominated as the "Best
Supporting actor" in the Ariel Awards 2019, the "Best New Artist" in the Iris
Awards Québec 2022, the "Best Actor Feature Film" in L’HIFF 2022 and he was
the "Best Acting award winner" in the Centre Film Festival 2022 in
Pennsylvania for his role in "We are living things".
Jorge was born in Mexico City, he studied literature at UAM University and he
has attended a variety of actoral workshops like: "Performance creation" (La
casa del lago), "Impro Clown" (La casa del Lago), Phychological realism
(Casazul), "Acting solutions to the new dramaturgies" (Cátedra Ingmar
Bergman-UNAM), "Actoral training" (Cátedra Ingmar Bergman-UNAM),
"Technical production seminar" (FITU-UNAM) as well as Fernando's Piernas
seminar. Aditionally, he has participated as a model in GQ Latinoamerica
magazine and Vogue International.
After "Roma" he has collaborated in more than fourteen projects: "We are
living things (2019)" by Antonio Tibaldi and the photographer Luca Bigazzi;
"Drunken birds (2019)" by Ivan Grbovic and Sara Mishara (one of the most
awarded films in the Canadian Awards 2022) and in the latest Angelina's
Jolie movie, to mention a few. He has recently been awarded in the
"Independent Shorts Awards" for "Rehearsals" his shortfilm debut as director
and producer.
