Jack Halloran is an actor/ producer currently living in Hollywood California. He started acting at the age of 4 and has been SAG/AFTRA for the last thirty plus years. Jack played the supporting lead next to Scott Eastwood in the feature film “The Perfect Wave”, based on the true story of the life of a young surfer Ian McCormack who had a near death experience after getting attacked by a box jelly fish night diving off the coast of Mauritius. The Mom, played by Cheryl Ladd and the Father played by Patrick Lister. The film was directed by Bruce Macdonald and shot in South Africa and around the world.
Jack wanted a well-rounded life and studied at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA, played sports and graduated before attending the University of South Carolina to study Hotel & Restaurant Management, Travel Tourism and Sports Entertainment Management. He also attended and graduated from the Carolina Culinary Institute in Columbia, SC, and did a specialization in private club management. He was able to pay for his own education from saving his acting money and graduated in 2005 from USC.
After school he spent a few years traveling the world and learning about different cultures and cuisines and then moved to Vail, CO to be a chef for Vail Resorts where he quickly rose to be a manager of The Game Creek Club and The Beaver Creek Clubs for several years. He was then recruited to manage a restaurant for the president of the National Restaurant Association in Washington DC.
Jack then followed his passion to South Africa to work with children and teach surfing for the next few years. Many of them became pro surfers and his top students went on to compete on the world tours and win a World Surf League title. While working on the beaches of South Africa he was recruited to go back to his first love acting and film and co-stared with Scott Eastwood in The Perfect Wave.
Currently living in Los Angeles he has continued to learn the trade, taking classes, working in production and with mentors Michael Oblowitz, Steve Wood, and many others on feature films, national print campaigns, commercials, music festivals, and starting his non-profit Sea you Are Free, SURF, a 501c3 which focuses on education, sustainability and social impact. The company’s vision is to provide free clean drinking water to every child, woman and man on planet earth in the next ten years.
