Lay Roo, (Alvin Craig Le Roux), born 17 January, is a Music Artist, Songwriter, Actor and Podcaster who first gained attention after the release of his 1st album in 2010 ‘the Good, the Bad, the Dream’ with his breakthrough single and music video, ‘I Get Down For Cape Town’ which played on TV and radio stations throughout the country.

Twelve of his singles off the ‘Crazy Sooper Hero Dreams’ series, can be heard on heard on several Radio Stations throughout South Africa and overseas and his music videos can be viewed on channels such as African Music TV channel, ‘Channel O’ as well ‘Kyknet Nou’.

His song titled ‘You Don’t Stop’ features in the movie titled “Tess” and he has also made an appearance South Africa’s biggest daily Live Teen TV Show, Hectic Nine-9, for a live interview and performance.

Lay Roo is signed to Martez Model Management and some of his work can be seen with Mens’ Fitness Magazine (US) and made his Fitness TV Debut on ABC News ‘Good Morning America’ filmed in Rio De Janeiro.

As an Actor, he has featured in commercials and in the movie, “2 Thirds of a Man”, in 2 different roles, including doing his own stunts, which was released in theatres nationwide in 2022.

He has also played the lead in 4 different other films titled “Clown”, “Virtual”, “The Hitman” and “Fallout” and not forgetting winning the Award for Best Actor at the “International One Minute Film Festival” held in January 2022 at Ster-Kinekor, Cavendish Square in Cape Town.
