Christelle Dreyer, born and raised in Cape Town and obtained her Baccalaureus Technologiae in Graphic Design in 2011 from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. As a designer she has and still creates the identities, advertising and branding for many companies.
Christelle lives with a disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), meaning her bones are brittle. At a young age she discovered her love and passion for dance, regardless for the earlier physical concerns strongly persuade dance. Christelle uses here unique body movements within dance styles varying from Contemporary dance to Ballroom and Latin dancing. As a Ballroom and Latin Dancer she won numerous competitions. In 2007 she won 1st place in both Ballroom and Latin at the Holland World Championships.
In working for Remix Dance Company Christelle taught children as part of the Remix Integrated Dance Project with Nicola Elliott and Malcolm Black. In 2014 she was a performer as part of the UNI Global Union Woman`s Conference. Partaking in the Axis Dance Company Intensive (USA, California) Christelle found herself dancing and performing among dancers from across the world. Most recently she was seen acting in a Baxter Theatre named Marat/Sade directed by Jaco Bouwer. She received the Cultural Affairs Award from the western Cape Government for her contribution by person with disability to the arts. Christelle looks forward to growing as an artist.
