"Created to create" are words I live by because to have the ability to make do with what I have and make something special out of it is so pure.
At the age of 8, I fell in love with performing arts & just with art in general. My first stage performance was at the age of 10 years old at an arts festival & since then it became second nature for me to perform a show or even give a formal speech at an event.
High school made it easier for me to participate in cultural events because the opportunities were there, you just had to grab them and that's what I did. I've participated in a few art festivals where I performed monologues, prose & poems. I've been in 3 high school plays and one Trinity exam where I wrote one of the scenes, created a character, implemented singing, dancing & dramatic movements, and got a distinction for the production.
One of my most profound moments in the performing arts industry was when I performed in a group performance at the Baxter theatre for AIDT for dance. That's when I realised that this is what I want to do because performing will always be the dream, the passion, it will always be everything to me.
I think if I had to be part of the industry I would want to tell my story through my passion, I quote P.T Barnum “ The noblest art is that of making others happy” that’s what I want to do, I want to make a difference & spread joy through my talents that I have been gifted with.
My faith is part of my journey. This is how I express myself and my faith by showing up, working hard & always being ready and prepared for anything that may come my way.
