I started my journey when I joined the Cape Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) at age 9. As a child who struggled with lots of anxiety, acting was my safe place, where playing a character would make all my worries disappear. From then on, acting became my entire world and my biggest passion in life.
At age 17, I completed the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) exams with a distinction. I joined the MMM agency in 2020 to take my acting career further, and I developed my deep passion for acting on screen. Currently, I study Multimedia Production and film at the University of Cape Town. When I’m not studying, I spend a lot of my time acting in short films, writing, and learning all the lyrics to musicals.
Acting has not only shaped who I am today, but it has also become my way of understanding the world and my emotions. To me, acting is more than just a craft—it's a form of therapy, a way to explore different facets of life and self. As Paul Newman so aptly said, "To be an actor you have to be a child." This resonates deeply with me because it captures the essence of what acting has been for me: a return to the uninhibited, imaginative freedom of childhood, where every role is a new adventure and every performance is an opportunity to rediscover joy.
