From a young age, Bianca has always been a creative, something she inherited from her grandmother, where she spent weekends doing creative projects from painting to handmade clay sculptures and even fashion design. She would dabble in anything that brought out her creative side.
At first she dreamed of becoming a singer as she wasn't aware of the wonders of film and tv and that it wasn't real but rather people playing characters. Once she grasped this idea all she could talk about was being an actress. The idea that creatives can get together and build fleshed out characters and whole new worlds from ink on paper has always astounded her. And her favourite film "High School Musical" showed her she can also incorporate her love of music into bringing these worlds to life.
Her childhood best friend would film and direct her to play characters such as a game show contestant, a princess locked away or a character from a script they wrote. Therefore Bianca is used to taking direction and adapting to changes.
She had always struggled with anxiety but found the confidence to be herself from certain actresses and films. As a result, she wants to help people find their voice and be vulnerable. She took an acting class at ACT Cape Town with Tamryn Speirs, where she was once again reminded of how acting can bring out strong emotions and even trauma, as a script had brought up unresolved feelings. She was however comforted and applauded by her fellow actors for her vulnerability which is how she wants others to feel too - safe, heard and represented that they know they're not alone. She strives to do this through her passion for film.
