Born and raised in Mozambique, Del Lombard’s passion for fashion started at a very early age as she didn't only play with her dolls, but dressed and styled her friend's dolls as well.
Growing up in society where most teenager school girls dream of modeling, she was picked to represent her class in the school pageant. Later, she participated in other fashion shows which gave her confidence and wings to fly.
In 2008 she made a big impact presenting (7) garments in her first fashion show.
In the same year, she was invited to represent her city in the National Cultural Festival -a nationwide event that takes place every 2 years in Mozambique.
Del was also invited to showcase at Mozambique Fashion Week, for the first time, where she showcased a collection entitled “Africa Call My Dream”
After participating 3 years in a row at MFW, and making her name in Mozambique,
Del moved to Cape Town in 2012.
After formidable presence at several other fashion events in South Africa, such as The Cape Town Bridal Fashion Week 2015 (where she was also invited to showcase her wedding collection) in the last past years to the present moment, she has been involved in and showcasing in other many big fashion events/shows - Including her presentation at Woman360' for Miss South Africa 2018, a well-attended Solo Fashion Art Exhibition 2017, at Odyssey Fashion Project 2018. Solo Art Exhibition II 2019, South African Menswear Fashion Week.
And more fashion events in the country.
Del Lombard is leaving her mark.
Del is also proud owner of her very own Fashion Boutique, based in Observatory, Cape Town. The store has been operational for 3 Years and Del makes sure to give platform within her store for many other Local Designers.
