Bheki kicked his musical career off by studying musical theatre, dance and acting at the Waterfront Theatre School. He has also been certified by the Trinity College of Actors of London and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance of London.
He led a successful career in modelling, acting and fashion, where he ran his own boutique called “House of Napoleon” which focused on uplifting young designers. Providing a platform for sales, trade and creativity.
He further explored his musical path and in 2008, he formed the band called Iscream and the Chocolate Stix. With the band, he won a SAMA award for best alternative album of the year, opened for MC Hammer and Lil Wayne and has played with some of the biggest bands in South Africa. He has directed 5 music videos, including Heaven, Never gonna let us go and a Climate Change video in association with Al Gore for Cop 21.
He has currently directed a commercial for More Moola which is a financial insurance company in partnership with Chimandy flims. He has directed a pilot for a 13 episode series called Supernatural crime unit (SNCU) which has been picked up by showmax however due Covid 19 restrictions filming will commence in 2023. He has directed a DSTV show that aired on the 19 December 2020, across Africa in collaboration with Ford motors South Africa. He has also spear headed and directed the protest music project called Vtv featuring Pupil Red Mage supporting the fight against gender based violence, corruption and inequality and human trafficking.
He co-hosts the drive time show called Wavelength as well as his own afternoon show on Mutha Fm called The Afternoon eclipse, on a weekly basis. Showcasing the best of local and pan African talent on a global platform.
He was the assistant director for Manennberg Kaapse project which was supported by the City of Cape Town to highlight to local heritage and culture of the Western Cape, followed with assisting with shooting the music video for 'IFANI' in association with 'HACIENDA films' one of South African’s top musicians and released in Jan 2021.
He has featured and acted in over 20 music videos. He has, throughout his career, collaborated with various producers and artists such as Reason and John Savage on the 5fm Mash Lab. His collaboration with Blu Room Studios created a hit that spent two weeks at number one on radio stations with a total of nine weeks on the charts. Another track produced from the collaboration has received a 4 star rating from the Billboard USA.
Bheki is a SAB kick start winner with his brother Sibu Dladla for their fashion company called Jadedlifestyles which focused on fashion, live events, coordination and project management. Events like 'the fashion police in association with Lamborghini Cape Town, 5Fm women’s show, Distell end of year functions and runway shows for fashion week UK are just a few to mention over the years. The company has now moved to the UK (run by Sibu) and has worked with the likes of Grace Jones, Featured in British VOUGE, DC comics and fashion garments that have sold across the UK and Europe.
Recently he launched his own production company called “Entertainment is Me” ( EIM productions )
Which focuses on bridging the network and freelance element of the film/ music/ fashion/ events industry to provide opportunities for up and coming film makers/ artists/ designer and production enthusiasts.
