Calling All Parents New to The Industry & Those who wish to know more!
You are invited to attend a talk intended to help you better understand the workings of the Industry.
Former international models and now agency directors, Martéz Saporta-Rothuysen and Sam Pegg, who’ve been in the industry for more than 30 years, will be sharing their expertise at a 2-hour industry talk for ONLY R900 per parent. (Regret no children)
“We understand that your children are very precious to you and that the world of modelling can seem a scary place.
Having been in the industry for over thirty years, we have pretty much seen it all and being parents ourselves, we understand your reservations and concerns.
And then there is all the terminology to understand and rules to follow, too!
We are here to help! (from do’s & don’ts to working hrs to on-set nutrition & more)”
Jay Alexander took Sam under his wing to teach her the do's & don'ts of runway. New York based Kithe Brewster, stylist to the stars, appointed her to liaise with the Parisian fashion houses, acting as his representative. Additionally, being a life coach, she offers a more wholistic approach to coaching. Sam has always had a passion for healthy cooking and plans, in the near future, to publish a cookbook - containing her delicious, mouth-watering healthy recipes!
Acting roles include acting in the series, Charlie Jade, performing with The Men Behaving Badly stars as well as working with Director Sean Penn and actress Charlize Theron. Sam is also a film/performance director and has achieved incredible performance results with babies & toddlers. Her short experimental editorial fashion film, "Love Affair", won her a nomination for Best Director at the New York Film Awards 2018. All the models that she has placed with international modelling agencies have been successful in their careers.
Martéz has always had a passion for acting and growing the industry. She has coached privately and at ACT Cape Town for many years. With her modelling and TV experience and a few films under her belt, it made sense to share what she had learnt over the years. Martéz holds a gold medal certificate of merit in performance through LAMDA, and has completed many producing, acting and script writing workshops through local and international learning institutions. She has produced a few award-winning short films as well as securing the first interview with the late Dr Marius Barnard, after he took a break from the media for many years. Martéz wrote, produced and directed the short documentary for The Heart of Cape Town Museum.
“Having experienced many sides of the industry, we look forward to answering your questions!”
