About Loui
After a nine-year long break from the entertainment industry, Loui is more than excited to have joined the Kaapstad Radio family as presenter. After four months in the hosting seat, she invited Martéz Saporta-Rothuysen to co-host after a very fun-filled interview where the station manager saw their great presenting chemistry. Within a few months, the duo grew the English listenership to such a scale with their “In Die Kollig” segment as they hosted it in both English and Afrikaans, that management have since asked them to start hosting the first Kaapstad Radio English segment, “In the Spotlight”, from 2023.
Loui’s years as model and TV presenter at Kyknet’s “Glitterati en Tonge Los”, will always stay dear to her heart, but she is more than excited for what the future holds.
Loui was raised in Paarl, living there until the age of twenty-two, when she traded her birth town for the "big city lights" of Durban. From then onwards, there was no stopping her passion and vision. From there Italy and London were her homes for ten years during which the two loves of her life, her sons, Luke and Zeke, were born.
Her love for the entertainment industry and its people, culminated in her successful presenting career.
When starting at Kaapstad Radio, Loui presented “Kaapse Karmenaadjie” filled with fun conversations, celebrity interviews and great music, as well as her “Mercia Mafia” show with her old colleague, Gavin Wildschutt-Prins, from their “Glitterati en Tonge Los” famous show.
Loui had an extremely successful modelling career, despite being told that her height would hold her back. Her success is a true testimony that dynamite often comes in small packages and that dedication and perseverance pay off.
Loui’s industry experience, connections and incredible way with people led to her joining the MMM team, in Cape Town, as a booker, late 2022.
Both talent and clients have expressed how wonderful it is to work with Loui due to her ability of making everyone feel special and looked after.
