Daniela was born in Italy.
She is a Ballet Dancer, Dance Coach, Movement Coach, Model and Actress. She works with dancers, models, actors, musicians and other performers and creators to impact tools for connecting physical movement to emotional, musical, body language and theatrical expression.
After studying ballet with teachers of the Academy of Montecarlo and Turin Dance Academy at the age of sixteen she left Italy to continue her studies at the Ballet School of Cologne first and the John Cranko School in Stuttgart later. In 1995 she entered the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden and she graduated in 1998. From 1999 until 2002 she pursued her perfectioning at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala.
She danced in various companies in Germany, Spain, Italy and also trained in the fields of acting, musical and drama. Daniela has been actively involved as a dancer with many operettas and operas at an international level. Since 2000 she has been involved in Milan's Teatro alla Scala Opera productions. Since 2003 she started teaching, having been awarded various degrees in Vaganova and Cuba Ballet technique, working for the Turin Dance Academy and directed by Maria Elena Fernandez and Ramona De Saa. From 2007 until 2014 she owned and managed her Ballet School in Turin developing a dance programme (working in city plans to promote art and culture, raising funds and proposing shows with social thematics). She has choreographed full length works in classical ballet, contemporary and neo-classical style. Daniela is a fully certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis instructor with an active interest in health and fitness too. She has been in Cape Town since August 2014, working alongside community projects which included outreach work linked with the dance programme. She has coached and choreographed for Cape Junior Ballet closely with director Dianne Cheesman and Philip Boyd, director of Dance for All, where she has been co-ordinator within the Ballet Programme. She has also taught and choreographed for UCT School of Dance. Daniela was head of the Ballet Department at the Cape Academy of Performing Arts under director Debbie Turner, CEO of Cape Town City Ballet.
