My name is Josh. I was born on the 29/01/2010 as a micro-prem weighing in at 670g.
Since I was very young I have always been a very active person. Despite my prosthesis, I have never been afraid to try anything.
I can ride a bike and play golf. I played a full 9 holes and finished top of the group. It was a retired golfer who took kids from disadvantaged communities and taught us to play. But my daddy taught me first.
I go with my daddy to the driving range to practice. I would like to play professionally some day.
I can play soccer but I wasn't given an opportunity to play for my school or a club due to my leg. But I love to play with my friends. I also like to ride a skateboard. I ice skate, swim and like to play play station with my brother as well as exercise with him.
I'm not scared to try new things because everything I do, I taught myself.
I took chances and I succeeded. I would like to be given a chance to show you what I can do, and not be judged beforehand because of my prosthetic leg.
I am very confident in everything that I do , I am a strong willed person, that when exposed to new things or challenges, I always push myself to see what I am capable of.
I am also learning to play the guitar and I can play a few notes.
There are a few things that I haven't tried yet but would love to get exposure to like Gymnastics. I am very strong in my arms and can hold my upper body's weight on my arms.
I am a go-getter, very curious and experimental. I like pushing my limits , everyday I learn something new about myself and that is how I grow as a person and young teenager.
I have been told that I am a motivation and an inspiration to many. There was this 1 guy that suffered from depression due to losing a leg, my cousin fetched me and took me to the university where he was living to go and encourage the young guy. He is doing much better than before.
So as you can see in a Nutshell this is Me. JUST JOSH.
